Our Partner Schools have access to use any of the current Alliance programs being offered. Evening programs that include students also involve parents. The Alliance strongly believes that parents and students need to hear the same message regarding the serious safety concerns that impact youth.
As the onset of youth drug use is beginning at a much younger age than in years past, and due to the fact that we are seeing children in treatment for drug use as young as 5th grade, the Alliance provides partner schools with the 5th Grade PTO Partnership Program. This program is an excellent beginning for parent/child conversations. These conversations need to begin sooner than later.
It is our strong hope that through our programs we can provide parents with information they need regarding the prevention of youth drug use long before they need to know it. We also encourage parents to seek help if they have a concern sooner than later.
Alliance Partner Schools also have the opportunity to provide in-service training for their faculty, participate in the annual 7th grade poster contest, hold town hall meetings for the community and become involved with the Student Alliance.
